It takes stillness, awareness and a disconnection from expectations.

Each of the hundreds of dead I have spoken to, just like those of us still alive, are vastly different from one another. Some are rude, some loud, and some are funny and smart. There are some that tell stories while others just show me images or visions in my head. 
Speaking with the dead is like speaking with the living. To do it well, it takes stillness, awareness and a disconnection from expectations.

Communication and connecting with another is like a dance.
I invite them in, they share their journey, we sway, I listen, ask questions, and they move me around the floor. Sometimes I push or stumble, and other times they dance me off of my feet!
Connecting with the dead is an honour and joy. 

The entire process can take time to develop, and it is recommended you work with a teacher or guide. Never underestimate the energy of a mentor and the frequencies they share with you.

Often I'm asked if the dead send us signs? Are they connecting with us? The answer of course is a resounding YES.
One of the most common 'signs' I see being sent from our ancestors are animals that fly such as birds, dragonflies and the gentle butterfly.
The energy of birds overall represent taking flight, seeing things from a higher perspective and keeping your spirits high. Butterflies in specific are about dreaming, about vulnerability and the ability to transform with grace.
Someone who is sends the energy of a butterfly after passing will usually have been connected to this animal in life. Those drawn to butterflies are often positive, have large hearts and deep souls.
So from the butterfly on this lovely Sunday...
